Oracle Cloud Partners with xAI to Bring Grok 3 AI Model to Corporate Clients
xAI’s Grok 3 has joined forces with Oracle Cloud to make its advanced AI model available to corporate customers, marking a significant collaboration between the two tech giants.
Recently, Oracle made the exciting announcement of its partnership with xAI, a move that will see Oracle’s robust infrastructure being utilized to offer xAI’s Grok 3 as a powerful tool for various business applications.
Clay Magouyrk, Executive Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, shared the news on LinkedIn, stating, “Today, we announced xAI has selected Oracle to offer xAI’s Grok models via OCI Generative AI service for a wide range of use cases and will use OCI’s leading AI infrastructure to train and run inferencing for its next-generation Grok models.” This partnership will enable xAI to leverage Oracle’s cost-effective AI capabilities to support its demanding workloads, ultimately leading to faster processing speeds for enterprise users.
According to Oracle’s Karan Batta in an interview with Reuters, the goal is to provide a portfolio of models through Oracle Cloud, with Grok 3 being one of the key additions alongside models from Meta, Mistral, and Cohere. By hosting Grok 3 on Oracle Cloud, corporate clients can benefit from enhanced security measures and high-performance AI solutions.
Grok 3, which was launched by xAI in February under the leadership of Elon Musk, competes with other models like DeepSeek and OpenAI. While the basic version of Grok 3 is free for all X users, premium subscribers gain access to advanced features such as DeepResearch and Think modes, highlighting the model’s versatility and capabilities.
Elon Musk’s ties with Oracle date back to 2018 when Larry Ellison, the founder of Oracle, joined Tesla’s board. This move was praised by analysts and marked the beginning of a strong relationship between Musk’s companies and Oracle. In 2023, Ellison hinted at a collaboration between Tesla and Oracle for a Tesla Cybertruck police car, further solidifying the bond between the two tech giants.
The integration of Grok 3 into Oracle Cloud is set to elevate xAI’s presence in the corporate AI market. By combining Oracle’s robust infrastructure with Grok’s cutting-edge capabilities, this collaboration is poised to revolutionize AI adoption in the enterprise sector, driving innovation and transformation across various industries.
