Tesla Cybertruck owners can look forward to enjoying full Full Self-Driving (Supervised) functionality with the upcoming version 14 software update, as confirmed by Tesla’s VP of AI, Ashok Elluswamy. This update will bring a host of new features to the Cybertruck, including the ability to reverse, park itself, and execute other advanced maneuvers that were previously unavailable on the pickup truck.
Elluswamy took to X to announce that the Cybertruck will receive the “full-featured version” of FSD 14, much to the delight of eager owners who have been eagerly anticipating this news. With the rollout of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1 through software update 2025.32.8.5, Tesla has introduced significant improvements to the FSD system. These enhancements include new Arrival Options for selecting parking locations, updates to emergency vehicle handling, navigation improvements, real-time detour routing, a new “Sloth” speed profile, optimized camera cleaning features, and enhanced obstacle avoidance capabilities.
According to Elluswamy, the release of FSD 14.1 is just the beginning of a series of version 14 updates that will continue throughout the year, each bringing substantial enhancements to the self-driving capabilities of Tesla vehicles. Tesla CEO Elon Musk has also indicated that FSD 14.2 is expected to roll out in the coming weeks, followed by version 14.3 shortly thereafter, pending safety validation.
Cybertruck owners have been eagerly awaiting full FSD functionality since the vehicle’s launch. While the Cybertruck comes equipped with Tesla’s latest Autopilot hardware suite, its all-wheel steering system requires additional Autopilot training, as explained by Musk in a separate post. With the release of FSD 14, Tesla aims to bridge this gap, enabling the Cybertruck to perform complex self-driving and parking maneuvers on par with other Tesla models.
As FSD 14 continues to expand across the Tesla fleet, the full integration of the Cybertruck marks a significant milestone in Tesla’s vision of a unified, next-generation self-driving platform. With these advancements, Tesla is bringing us one step closer to a future where self-driving technology is seamlessly integrated into our daily lives.
