Tesla is set to potentially bring its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system to the United Arab Emirates next month, according to a recent hint dropped by CEO Elon Musk. The announcement came after Musk reposted a Tesla video showcasing the capabilities of the advanced driver-assistance system, which can handle an entire trip from start to finish, including parking itself.
The tease from Musk came in response to a user from the UAE asking about the availability of Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in their region. Musk replied, “Hopefully, next month,” indicating a potential launch timeline that is much sooner than expected. This exchange has sparked speculation that regulatory approval for the system in the UAE may be imminent.
This potential rollout follows Musk’s recent meeting with the UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister, Hamdan bin Mohammed, in Dubai. Bin Mohammed expressed his excitement about the future following the meeting, which covered discussions on space, technology, and humanity. While no official announcements were made, the timing of Musk’s hint about the launch in the UAE has raised eyebrows.
If Full Self-Driving (Supervised) does indeed go live in the UAE next month, it would mark the eighth country where the system is officially available. This expansion follows the recent launch of the system in South Korea and Tesla’s plans to introduce it in Denmark in early 2026.
Tesla has been actively working to win over regulators in various regions, offering FSD ride-alongs across Europe to showcase the system’s capabilities. The latest version of the software, FSD 14.2.1, continues to push boundaries by allowing drivers to text under specific traffic and road conditions while remaining responsible for supervision.
In the U.S., Tesla has already started testing “unsupervised” Full Self-Driving with its Robotaxi fleet in Austin, Texas, offering rides without a driver or safety monitor onboard. A potential launch of Full Self-Driving in the UAE would be a significant milestone, given the country’s interest in advanced transportation technology and smart city initiatives.
While Musk’s hint about the launch in the UAE is not a confirmation, it signals Tesla’s rapid progress in making Full Self-Driving a global product. The company’s dedication to expanding the system to new markets demonstrates its commitment to revolutionizing the future of autonomous driving.
