Starlink Continues Aviation Expansion with NetJets Partnership

Starlink has secured another significant victory in the aviation industry, this time with the world’s largest private jet operator, NetJets. NetJets, known for its fractional aircraft ownership model, has recently announced a partnership with Starlink to bring high-speed satellite internet to approximately 600 aircraft in its global fleet by the end of 2026.
The implementation of Starlink’s services will commence this month, starting with aircraft in the United States and Europe. This initial rollout will include popular private jet models such as Cessna Citation Latitudes, Citation Longitudes, Embraer Praetor 500s, Bombardier Challenger 350 and 650 models, as well as the entire Bombardier Global lineup.
NetJets’ President, Patrick Gallagher, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that Starlink’s technology will enhance the travel experiences of NetJets’ owners and guests. He emphasized the importance of seamless connectivity for both business and leisure travelers.
Starlink, with its vast constellation of low-Earth-orbit satellites, offers broadband speeds of up to 500 Mbps and ensures connectivity even in remote locations. This marks a significant improvement over traditional in-flight Wi-Fi systems, which often face challenges with reliability and latency.
Jason Fritch, SpaceX’s VP of Starlink Enterprise Sales, highlighted the benefits of having Starlink on NetJets flights. Passengers will enjoy increased productivity, seamless video calls, on-demand streaming, and gaming capabilities, mirroring the connectivity options available on the ground.
This partnership comes at a time of rapid growth for Starlink in the aviation sector. Recent agreements with Korean Air, Emirates, flydubai, and other major global carriers have solidified Starlink’s position as the leading provider of in-flight connectivity. British Airways, for example, plans to offer free, Starlink-powered Wi-Fi on all flights starting next year.
With NetJets now onboard, Starlink’s expansion into premium travel is poised for further success. The company’s innovative satellite technology is quickly becoming the standard for in-flight connectivity, setting a new benchmark for the aviation industry.
