Tesla enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of the 2025 Holiday Update, and now Tesla has finally revealed the exciting new features that will be included in this update. From functional improvements to fun additions, there is a wide variety of new inclusions to look forward to.
One of the standout features of the update is the addition of Grok with Navigation Commands (Beta). This feature will allow Tesla owners to add and edit navigation destinations using Grok, providing a more seamless navigation experience. Grok’s “Assistant” personality will enhance the navigation experience by offering insights into destinations, including reviews and nearby points of interest.
Another exciting addition is the Tesla Photobooth, which will allow users to turn their car into a photobooth. With fun filters, stickers, and emojis, users can take selfies from inside their Tesla and share them directly from the Tesla app.
For pet owners, the Dog Mode Live Activity feature will provide periodic snapshots of the cabin when using Dog Mode. This feature will also provide live updates on temperature, battery, and climate conditions, ensuring that your four-legged friend stays comfortable while you’re away.
The Dashcam Viewer Update will now include additional details on each Dashcam clip, such as speed, steering wheel angle, and Self-Driving state, providing more context in case of an incident.
Other fun additions include Santa Mode with new graphics and a lock chime, a new Light Show called Jingle Rush, and the ability to customize your Tesla Avatar with custom wraps, window tints, and license plates in the Paint Shop.
Navigation improvements include the ability to change the order of destinations through a new “Favorites” tab, setting Home and Work by dropping a pin, and “Suggested Destinations” based on recent trips and habits.
The most significant feature of the update is the Supercharger Site Map, which provides a 3D view of select Tesla Superchargers. This feature allows drivers to see the site layout, live occupancy, nearby amenities, and choose which stall to Supercharge.
Additional improvements include automatic carpool lane routing, phone left behind chime, charge limit per location saving, and an ISS Docking Simulator game in collaboration with SpaceX.
While there are many exciting features included in the Holiday Update, some anticipated features like the Banish functionality, Apple CarPlay integration, and parking spot selection were not included. Despite these omissions, Tesla owners can look forward to a range of new and improved features that will enhance their driving experience.
