Tesla has officially launched the new Model 3 Standard in Europe, introducing the company’s most affordable electric vehicle outside the U.S. The announcement was made by Tesla Europe on X, with the company emphasizing the Model 3 Standard as an ultra-low cost option engineered for safety and packed with the best Tesla features.
The new Model 3 Standard boasts an impressive spec sheet despite its lower price point. Tesla Europe highlights that the vehicle offers 534km of range and 682 liters of trunk space, which can expand to 1747 liters with the rear seats folded down. In addition, the Model 3 Standard is designed for extreme efficiency and minimal maintenance requirements. The car comes equipped with a range of software features, including Tesla Theater, Tesla Arcade on the 15.4-inch center touchscreen, Sentry Mode, Dog Mode, Camp Mode, Trip Planner, and the highly anticipated Full Self-Driving capability, pending regulatory approval.
On the interior, buyers can enjoy heated and powered first-row seats in a dual-tone textile and vegan leather design, along with a heated steering wheel. The vehicle fully supports the Tesla app, offering features such as Phone Key, preconditioning, and remote camera access through Sentry Live View. With the introduction of the Model 3 Standard, Tesla now completes its Model 3 & Y lineup, which includes Performance, Premium, and Standard variants.
This European launch follows Tesla’s recent unveiling of the Model 3 Standard in the U.S., alongside the introduction of the Model Y Standard as the company’s most affordable SUV. While orders for the Model Y Standard opened in Europe shortly after, the Model 3 Standard was previously exclusive to the U.S. With the vehicle now available in Europe, markets served by Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory, including Australia and New Zealand, are likely to follow suit.
In addition to the Model 3 Standard’s European debut, Tesla has expanded the availability of the Model Y Standard to the U.K. for the first time. The Model Y Standard starts at £41,990, making it a more affordable option compared to the £48,990 Model Y Premium RWD. Deliveries for the Model Y Standard in the U.K. are set to begin in January 2026.
As Tesla continues to expand its entry-level lineup, the arrival of the Model 3 Standard in Europe and the U.K. could potentially attract a new wave of customers, further solidifying Tesla’s position in the global electric vehicle market.
