Tesla is ready to start delivering its refreshed Model Y Performance in Switzerland, as photos shared by Tesla Suisse Romande show the new “Juniper” Model Y Performance arriving at Tesla’s sales and delivery center in Bussigny. This signals that deliveries are about to begin for eager customers in the country.
This milestone comes shortly after production of the updated Performance trim started at Giga Berlin, and just days after the factory began shipping the first units to stores across Europe.
The refreshed Model Y Performance made its debut in Europe last month, boasting upgrades in performance, comfort, and technology. With a lightning-fast 0-60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds—slightly quicker than the outgoing model’s 3.5 seconds—the new trim still offers up to 308 miles of range (EPA cycle estimate). This impressive range is only around 1% less than the Long Range version, thanks in part to Tesla’s new high-density battery cells.
On the exterior, the Model Y Performance has received redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and staggered wheels and tires for improved grip and handling. The vehicle also introduces a new adaptive damping suspension system that adjusts to road conditions, as well as upgraded brakes and dedicated drive modes for enhanced high-speed performance.
Inside, Tesla has equipped the refreshed Performance trim with ventilated and heated sport seats in the front, along with perforated, heated, power-reclining second-row seats. Acoustic glass and enhanced soundproofing make the cabin quieter, while subtle ambient lighting and Tesla’s largest 16-inch QHD central display elevate the interior experience.
At the moment, the updated Model Y Performance is only available in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand, with no word yet on when Tesla might expand availability to North America. However, these initial customer deliveries mark a significant step forward following the vehicle’s production ramp at Giga Berlin. Tesla enthusiasts in North America will likely be eagerly awaiting their chance to get behind the wheel of this impressive electric SUV.
