Polestar, originally known as the motorsports, tuning, and performance arm of Volvo, has now emerged as an independent EV brand. However, the brand has not forgotten its roots in racing, especially in rally car and touring car racing. The latest iteration of Polestar, known as the Arctic Circle collection, pays homage to this racing heritage.
While the Polestar electric vehicles showcased in the Arctic Circle collection are concepts and not slated for production, they offer a glimpse into a world where performance meets sustainability. The lineup includes the Polestar 2 sedan, Polestar 3 crossover, and Polestar 4 coupe-crossover, each packed with racing-inspired features.
These EVs are equipped with adjustable Öhlins dampers, increased ride heights, Pirelli studded tires, OZ Racing wheels, quad front spotlights, tow hooks, Recaro racing bucket seats, roof light bars, mud flaps, and other performance tweaks. The Polestar 2 and Polestar 4 even sport all-terrain skis on their roofs, while the Polestar 3 comes with a roof basket carrying a spare tire.
Polestar’s signature Scandinavian design aesthetic blends seamlessly with the rally-inspired elements in the Arctic Circle collection, showcasing a perfect balance between minimalist sophistication and high-performance capabilities. The brand’s foray into the world of rally racing brings a new dimension to its lineup, sparking excitement among enthusiasts.
The three cars will make their public debut at the 2025 FAT Ice Race in Zell am See, Austria, providing a platform for fans to witness these electrifying machines in action. The Arctic Circle collection represents Polestar’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and performance, setting a new standard in the world of electric vehicles.
