According to Torres, sitting in one of these chairs feels no different than sitting in an actual Model 3, minus the steering wheel.
The $399 SuperSeat kit, developed by Colorado-based Springdale Robotics with assistance from Tesla modder Tim Hoyer, provides all the necessary electronics to bring a Tesla office chair to life. This kit includes a custom PCB and power adapter that allows the seat to plug directly into a standard wall outlet, giving users full control over the seat’s various features and adjustments. Installation is designed to be a straightforward DIY project, depending on the seat being used.
This trend not only showcases a creative way to repurpose salvaged car seats but also allows die-hard Tesla fans to bring a piece of the brand into their homes and offices. Hoyer is even selling OEM Tesla seats that are ready to be converted, while Springdale Robotics is shipping the electrification kits directly to buyers.
