Victoria Police make arrest in Cybertruck vandalism case
The Victoria Police Department in British Columbia announced on Sunday they have arrested a suspect in connection with the vandalism of a Tesla Cybertruck that was keyed in the heart of downtown Victoria last week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday evening when the owner of the Cybertruck returned to find the vehicle covered in scratches. The damage was estimated to be in the thousands of dollars, leaving the owner devastated.
Thanks to surveillance footage from nearby businesses, the Victoria Police were able to identify and apprehend the suspect within days of the incident. The suspect is currently facing charges of vandalism and property damage.
“We take acts of vandalism very seriously, especially when they involve such a significant amount of damage to someone’s property,” said Chief of Police, Sarah Johnson. “Our officers worked diligently to track down the perpetrator and bring them to justice.”
The owner of the Cybertruck expressed relief and gratitude towards the police for their swift action in solving the case. They are now working with their insurance company to repair the damage and get their vehicle back on the road.
This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of security measures for vehicle owners, such as parking in well-lit areas and installing surveillance cameras. It also highlights the effectiveness of law enforcement in investigating and resolving cases of vandalism.
As the case progresses through the legal system, the Victoria Police Department is urging anyone with information on similar incidents to come forward and assist in preventing further acts of vandalism in the community.
