In addition to this, we are providing the opportunity to upgrade the car by replacing the computer and cameras necessary to transition to Hardware 4. To ensure efficiency in this process, we are planning to establish microfactories, or small-scale production facilities, in major metropolitan areas. Conducting these upgrades at service centers would be slow and inefficient, hence the need for mini production lines to streamline the conversion.
In the long run, we believe it will be beneficial to convert all Hardware 3 cars to Hardware 4. This upgrade is essential for these vehicles to be integrated into the robotaxi fleet and operate autonomously with Full Self-Driving capabilities.
