The Latest on Volvo’s EX30 Electric Vehicle
The Volvo EX30 electric vehicle has made its debut in the U.S. with the top Twin Motor Performance model hitting dealerships last month. However, Volvo enthusiasts can look forward to more versions, including the rugged EX30 Cross Country, which was recently unveiled in Sweden.
The Cross Country variant features enhancements such as increased ground clearance, skid plates, and 18-inch wheels that can be equipped with all-terrain tires. Optional accessories like a load carrier, roof basket, and mud flaps are available in the Cross Country Experience packages.

Design elements from the concept version, such as blacked-out panels and wheel-arch extensions, have been retained in the production model. The front fascia pays homage to the Kebnekaise mountain range in Sweden.
The EX30 Cross Country will feature dual-motor all-wheel drive, but details about power output are yet to be confirmed. It is likely to share the same 69-kwh NMC battery pack as other U.S. EX30 models, with EPA range figures to be revealed later.

Volvo’s initial plan to introduce the EX30 in the U.S. last year was delayed due to tariffs on Chinese-made EVs. The China-produced EX30 eventually made its way to U.S. showrooms in January, starting with the dual-motor variant at $46,195.
For those awaiting the single-motor version, Volvo assures that it is still in the pipeline with a base price of $36,245. Both the single-motor EX30 and Cross Country models are expected to launch by the end of 2025.
