Tesla’s integration of the Grok AI assistant from xAI (now SpaceX) has revolutionized how drivers interact with their vehicle’s navigation systems. In a recent announcement by Elon Musk, Grok is set to become even smarter by allowing you to dictate exactly how you want to park when you reach your destination.

Introducing Natural Language Parking

With the recent 2025 Holiday Update, Tesla drivers can already use natural language commands to ask Grok to add waypoints, find specific destinations, or reroute their trip on the go. However, when it comes to parking, Tesla’s Autopark and FSD systems typically default to the most efficient maneuver and location.

Now, with the new feature, you will have the ability to tell Grok precisely how you want to park upon arrival. For instance, you can say commands like “Navigate to the grocery store and back into a parking spot” or “Take me home and pull forward into the driveway.”

According to a post on X, one of the limitations of FSD was the inability to find a parking spot near the door or turn at a specific block, to which Musk responded with a promising “Coming.”

Enhancing the Parking Experience

While it may seem like a small convenience, having verbal control over the final parking maneuver bridges the gap between autonomous driving and human preference. This feature will address scenarios where Autopark’s decision may not align with user preferences, such as tight parking spots against a wall or garage setups for home charging.
