Recently, a number of Tesla Cybertrucks were spotted in an unexpected location — China. Chinese Tesla enthusiasts were quick to capture footage of these futuristic electric pickup trucks cruising the streets of China.
It is important to note that Tesla has not officially launched the Cybertruck in China yet. The only Asian country where the Cybertruck is currently on sale is South Korea. However, with the electric pickup truck market in China rapidly growing, it wouldn’t be surprising if Tesla decided to introduce the Cybertruck in the country in the near future.
The sightings in China included two different Cybertrucks, likely located in separate cities. Interestingly, both videos of these Cybertrucks were taken at crosswalks, adding to the curiosity surrounding their presence in China.
One of the Cybertrucks, wrapped in a sleek matte black finish, stood out from the crowd. This unique customization was most likely done in China, either upon import or by a local enthusiast. It’s worth noting that last year, a Chinese importer brought several Cybertrucks into the country for sale, but they were all in their original stainless steel finish.
In September of last year, Tesla showcased a Cybertruck at the 2025 World Smart Industry Expo in China. However, this was a display unit and not intended for everyday use by Tesla employees in the country.
The videos of the Cybertrucks in China quickly circulated on social media, capturing the attention of Tesla fans worldwide. These sightings hint at the growing interest in electric vehicles, especially unique models like the Cybertruck, in markets beyond the traditional strongholds of the United States and Europe.
As the electric vehicle market continues to expand globally, it will be interesting to see how Tesla navigates the opportunities and challenges of introducing the Cybertruck in new territories like China. Stay tuned for more updates on Tesla’s plans for the Cybertruck and other exciting developments in the world of electric vehicles.
