Toyota is committed to achieving carbon neutrality in Europe by 2035 through a multi-energy strategy that includes various technologies such as hybrid, plug-in hybrid, battery electric, and hydrogen fuel-cell.
The updated bZ4X features a new 57.7-kwh battery pack option with front-wheel drive and a single motor. The larger 73.1-kwh pack offers front-wheel or all-wheel drive, with motors using silicon carbide semiconductors for increased power output. Suspension upgrades aim to reduce noise and vibration levels, while dual-motor models now have a towing capacity of up to 3,300 pounds.
The bZ4X is set to launch in Europe this fall, with an estimated range of 356 miles for the 73.1-kwh front-wheel-drive model. Top models will feature a 22-kw onboard charger to reduce charging time, along with standard battery pre-conditioning for optimized charging power.
The interior of the bZ4X has been redesigned with a larger 14.0-inch touchscreen and improved instrument cluster. These updates, along with enhanced aerodynamics and standard navigation features, enhance the overall driving experience.
The updated bZ4X marks Toyota’s continued commitment to innovation and sustainability in the electric vehicle market.
