The Top 3D Printed Tesla Gadgets
For all the Tesla owners out there with access to a 3D printer or a friend who does, this article is a must-read. We’ve compiled a list of some of the coolest 3D-printed Tesla accessories and toys that you can create right at home.
From practical accessories for your Tesla to fun and unique items, we’ve got you covered. All the links provided will direct you to Prusa’s Printables website, where you can safely download the designs.
It’s important to note that most of these accessories should be printed in ASA, PETG, or ABS for durability, especially if you plan to use them in your vehicle. PLA may not withstand the heat and could warp or break. We’ve made recommendations for each item regarding the best filament to use.
Car Charging
First on our list is a wall-mounted cable organizer that conveniently holds the NACS adapter as well. For outdoor mounting, we recommend using ASA or PETG filament for better durability. Make sure to choose a high infill percentage for added sturdiness.
Next, we have a garage door cable protector to prevent your cable from getting damaged when the garage door closes. Additionally, there’s a holder for your J1772 adapter that fits perfectly in the door pocket. Both these items are best printed in ASA or PETG for outdoor use.
Phone and Airpods Charging
If you’re looking to make charging your phone or AirPods more convenient, we’ve got you covered. Check out these adapters for AirPods and Galaxy Buds that work with Tesla’s wireless chargers. You can also find spacers for positioning smaller phones correctly on the charger. PLA may suffice for these items if not exposed to sunlight, but PETG is recommended.
Interior
For interior enhancements, consider adding a vent cover to prevent small items from falling into the vents under the front seats of your Model 3 or Model Y. You can also install a bag hook for the Model Y to hang bags securely. Various console trays are available for different Tesla models, offering extra storage and organization.
Tools & Etc.,
Essential tools like a hitch tool for hitch owners and a windshield washer fluid funnel for easy refilling are also available for 3D printing. Ensure to use strong filament for the hitch tool and PLA for the funnel.
Wheels
If you have Tesla’s Aero covers, consider printing a wall hanger to store them when not in use. You can also find accessories to cover the Aero center cap and lug nuts. ASA or ABS filament is recommended for these items.
