Deployment of 5-Minute Battery Swaps to Support Commercial EVs
- Ample’s battery swapping tech supports hundreds of commercial EVs
- Easy retrofit with Ample’s own battery packs
- Less grid demand compared to fast-charging stations
California-based startup Ample is set to deploy its innovative battery-swapping technology with fleets of electric delivery trucks in Tokyo.
Ample recently launched its first battery swapping stations in Kyoto and is now expanding its network in Tokyo to support over 100 vehicles per station. This initiative aims to provide a sustainable solution for electric vehicle fleets in urban areas.
The partnership with Mitsubishi and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation will see the deployment of Ample’s technology in their commercial vehicles, contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in Tokyo.
