Unlocking the Power of Cybertruck’s Jack Mode
Have you ever wondered how the Cybertruck’s air suspension can automatically level the truck even while it’s in sleep mode? This feature is incredibly useful for camping and off-road adventures, but it can pose a challenge when it comes to changing a tire.
But fear not, there’s a solution at hand: Jack Mode.
Understanding Jack Mode
Jack Mode is specifically designed for safely jacking up the Cybertruck while preventing it from self-leveling.
To activate Jack Mode, start by adjusting the Ride Height to Medium under Controls > Dynamics > Ride Height. You can also easily adjust this setting through the Tesla app by navigating to the Controls section and selecting Ride Height. This adjustment will provide enough clearance for most jacks to slide under the truck and lift it.
While you can also engage Jack Mode in Low or High settings, Tesla recommends using a Medium ride height for better vehicle control and adequate tire clearance for safe tire removal and installation. Keep in mind that once Jack Mode is activated, the Ride Height cannot be changed.
Next, go to Controls > Service > Jack Mode to enable Jack Mode. The vehicle will notify you that Jack Mode is active and can be disabled either by pressing the button again or by shifting the vehicle into drive.
While Jack Mode is active, feel free to lift your Cybertruck even on one side without worrying about it self-leveling. It will maintain its position until Jack Mode is disabled.
Automatic Activation
In some situations, Jack Mode can automatically engage to safeguard the suspension from potential damage. For instance, if the vehicle’s bumper is in contact with a curb, Jack Mode may activate on its own.
Once the obstacle is cleared or if you shift into Drive or Reverse, Jack Mode will automatically deactivate.
