Tesla’s Sentry Mode to Feature Loud Music When Triggered
After Tesla’s Q1 2025 All-Hands Meeting, the company made subtle changes to the Cybertruck’s webpage. Initially, the updates seemed to focus on aesthetics, but a closer inspection revealed an intriguing addition to Sentry Mode.
Sentry Mode Music
Tesla has updated the Sentry Mode section on the Cybertruck’s page to include the ability to play loud music when activated. The updated text on Tesla’s site states:
“Enable Sentry Mode to monitor your unattended vehicle or trailer, and automatically activate the alarm, increase the touchscreen brightness, and play music at max volume if a threat is detected.”
This new feature builds on Tesla’s previous enhancements to Sentry Mode, expanding its coverage to include trailers and the potential for honking in response to vandalism. Leveraging the Cybertruck’s Superhorn and external speaker, the loud music could serve as a deterrent for intruders.
Potential for Other Models
While initially spotted on the Cybertruck’s page, Sentry Mode Music may not be exclusive to this model. Tesla’s other vehicles equipped with external speakers for the Pedestrian Warning System could also support this feature through the Boombox functionality.
Release Date
Although not included in Tesla’s recent 2025.8 update, Sentry Mode Music could be part of a larger Spring Update set for release in the coming weeks. The possibility of custom sounds or music via USB adds an exciting dimension to this feature.
