Tesla’s Hollywood Diner: In-Car Controls & Theater Screens Turned On [VIDEO]
Tesla has been working on something truly special in Hollywood – the Tesla Hollywood Drive-In, Diner, and Supercharger. This innovative approach to EV charging combines a retro-futuristic diner and an outdoor movie theater, blending 80s charm with modern technology.
Construction on this unique site started in mid-2024, with a Cybertruck-inspired structure taking shape. Recent hints in the Tesla app indicate that the Diner’s grand opening is imminent.
Diner Controls in App / Car
A Tesla hacker discovered new features in the 2025.8.6 software build, including a “Charger Diner Controls” modal. This suggests that customers will be able to plug in, place orders, and pay through the Tesla app or car touchscreen.
The integration of these controls into Tesla vehicles sets this Supercharger site apart, making it a seamless experience for customers. The Diner will also be suggested for charging when navigating around Hollywood.
45-Foot Screens Ready
The massive 45-foot LED screens at the Tesla Hollywood Diner have been activated, signaling the site’s imminent opening. These screens display test patterns and Tesla-themed content, bringing the construction site to life.
We anticipate the success of this first Tesla Diner and hope to see more similar facilities open in North America and beyond. With Tesla’s track record of unique Superchargers, the future looks promising for more innovative charging experiences.
