In a video shared by a Tesla community member, FSD Beta v13.2.9 is seen smoothly approaching a toll booth at a park, stopping to allow the human occupants to pay for a park pass, and then seamlessly resuming driving once the transaction is complete.
According to one of the occupants in the car, as soon as the toll booth attendant said “Have a great day,” the car continued driving through the park without any physical gate involved. The system was able to wait for the human interaction to end before proceeding, showcasing a level of awareness and politeness that is truly impressive.
Tesla’s VP of AI, Ashok Elluswamy, explained that the vehicle’s repeater and pillar cameras visually monitor the activity at the toll booth, allowing the car to determine the right moment to move forward. This level of visual monitoring and decision-making capability is a testament to the advanced technology behind Tesla’s FSD system.
This recent development is just one of many refined behaviors that FSD has been demonstrating.
