Tesla has officially started rolling out its highly anticipated 2025 Holiday Update, with software version 2025.44.25.1 now being pushed to customer vehicles as of Monday, according to the tracking website Tessie. This update comes hot on the heels of Tesla teasing the Holiday Update over the weekend, hinting at one of the most feature-packed seasonal releases yet.
One of the standout features of this update is Grok with Navigation Commands (Beta), which allows drivers to add and edit navigation stops using natural language. By setting Grok’s personality to Assistant, the in-car AI transforms into a true co-pilot, capable of understanding complex routing instructions with a single voice command.
Another exciting addition is the new Supercharger Site Map, which provides select Supercharger stations with fully rendered 3D layouts showing live stall availability and site details upon arrival. This enhancement reflects Tesla’s ongoing efforts to streamline and make charging more predictable, especially during peak travel seasons.
In terms of navigation improvements, users can now reorder favorites, set Home or Work using dropped pins, and receive suggested destinations based on their recent driving habits.
On the entertainment side, Tesla Photobooth turns the cabin camera into a selfie studio complete with filters and stickers. Santa Mode receives a visual refresh, new snow effects, and themed chimes, while this year’s Light Show introduces “Jingle Rush,” which can now be scheduled in advance and synced across multiple Teslas.
Dog owners will appreciate the new Dog Mode Live Activity on iPhone, which provides periodic cabin snapshots and real-time temperature and battery updates. Additionally, Dashcam Viewer receives a major upgrade with overlays for speed, steering angle, and self-driving state.
Other notable additions include custom wraps and license plates for the vehicle icon, automatic high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lane routing, a new “phone left behind” chime, per-location charging limits, and the SpaceX ISS Docking Simulator game modeled after real astronaut controls.
The release of the 2025 Holiday Update coincides with a significant Tesla app update (version 4.51.5) that was released over the weekend. This update introduces a new Apple Find My-style feature that allows drivers to track their vehicle with a directional arrow and real-time distance, setting the stage for the Holiday Update.
As Tesla often keeps surprise features hidden until the update reaches more vehicles, it is advisable to stay tuned for further release notes and any new discoveries as they surface.
