Tesla has recently unveiled the largest Supercharger station in the world, located in Lost Hills, California. This new charging hub, situated at 22422 Highway 46, is set to revolutionize the way electric vehicle drivers power up on the go.
With 84 operational Supercharger stalls already available and an additional 84 stalls slated to open later this year, the Lost Hills Supercharger will boast a total of 168 stalls once fully completed. This impressive number of charging points will solidify its position as the largest Supercharger station globally.
What sets this Supercharger apart is its commitment to sustainability. The site features 11 megawatts of solar power generated from ground-mounted panels and canopies spread across 30 acres of land. Additionally, 10 Tesla Megapacks with 39 MWh of battery storage ensure that the Supercharger operates off-grid, powered entirely by the sun with only a minimal 1.5 MW grid connection for backup.
Designed with long-distance travelers in mind, the Lost Hills Supercharger offers 12 pull-through stalls for vehicles towing trailers or carrying larger loads. A dedicated lounge for drivers and passengers is also in the works, set to open alongside the remaining charging stalls later this year.
Tesla’s expansion of its Supercharger network globally underscores the company’s commitment to providing faster and more sustainable charging solutions for electric vehicle drivers. With over 70,000 Supercharger stalls worldwide and the recent milestone of producing the 25,000th V4 Supercharger stall at Gigafactory New York, Tesla continues to lead the way in advancing electric vehicle infrastructure.
The Lost Hills Supercharger is already among the largest in the world and is poised to take the crown as the largest Supercharger station once all 168 stalls are operational later this year. This groundbreaking development marks a significant step forward in Tesla’s mission to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.
