Tesla has recently expanded its leasing options in the U.S., making its most affordable vehicles more accessible than ever. Leasing is now available for the new Model 3 Standard and Model Y Standard, marking a significant shift for Tesla’s entry-level trims.
The leasing prices start at $449 per month for the Model 3 Standard and $479 per month for the Model Y Standard. These figures are based on a $3,000 down payment, a 36-month term, and 10,000 miles per year. This expansion in leasing options comes after Tesla increased lease pricing for higher trims of the Model 3 and Model Y just last week.
The Model 3 Standard and Model Y Standard were introduced in the U.S. in October as value-focused trims that offer strong fundamentals at a lower price point. Despite the lower cost, both models still offer impressive range. Real-world tests have shown that the Model 3 Standard exceeded its EPA range estimate, while the Model Y Standard achieved the best results of any Model Y to date, showcasing Tesla’s efficiency advantage.
Additionally, Tesla has now opened leasing options for the refreshed Model Y Performance, starting at $799 per month under the same lease terms. The Model Y Performance remains the brand’s quickest non-Plaid SUV, with a 0–60 mph time of just 3.3 seconds, a top speed of 155 mph, and an EPA-estimated range of 306 miles.
The updated Model Y Performance comes with several upgrades, including redesigned front and rear fascias, a carbon fiber spoiler, and new 21-inch Arachnid wheels. Interior enhancements include sport seats with heating and ventilation, power-reclining heated rear seats, improved bolstering with powered thigh support, and better cabin insulation with acoustic glass. The refresh also includes adaptive damping, new drive modes, and higher-capacity battery cells.
With leasing now available for Standard, Premium, and Performance trims, Tesla is providing more flexibility and accessibility to its latest vehicles for shoppers looking for lower upfront costs and the option to drive the newest models.
