Tesla is making waves in Europe with its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) ride-along program, which is now expanding to the Netherlands. Dutch residents will have the opportunity to experience FSD (Supervised) from the passenger seat in various locations starting February 16.
According to Tesla Europe’s announcement on X, the ride-alongs will take place in Groningen, Zwolle (Wezep), Arnhem (Duiven), Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Eindhoven, and Tilburg from February 16 through March 31, 2026. An additional round of sessions in Purmerend will run from March 16 to March 31.
Participants will have the chance to witness Full Self-Driving (Supervised) in action in real-world traffic conditions. Tesla staff will demonstrate how the system handles live traffic and supports the most challenging aspects of driving, with the ultimate goal of making roads safer for everyone. This initiative is part of Tesla’s vision for a fully autonomous future.
The Netherlands joins Italy, France, and Germany as countries where Tesla has introduced its FSD (Supervised) ride-along program. The positive reception and strong public interest in these countries prompted Tesla to expand the initiative. By giving regulators, lawmakers, and consumers hands-on exposure to the system, Tesla hopes to accelerate approval for FSD in Europe.
Regulatory clearance for FSD in the EU has been uncertain, with national authorities evaluating advanced driver-assistance frameworks. Tesla is working towards securing its first European approval in a single country, with the expectation that other EU nations will follow suit once a precedent is set.
By allowing European drivers to experience FSD firsthand from the passenger seat, Tesla is making a compelling case for the system on public roads. This approach of showcasing the technology in action demonstrates Tesla’s commitment to innovation and safety in the realm of autonomous driving.
