Tesla has introduced a new feature called Charging Passport, offering owners an annual recap of their Supercharger usage similar to YouTube’s annual review or Spotify Wrapped. This new feature can be found within the Tesla app under the Charging tab, providing users with a breakdown of their entire year of fast charging.
Charging Passport includes collectible charging badges, such as the Iconic Charger badge for visiting notable Superchargers like the Tesla Diner or the Oasis Supercharger. The Oasis Supercharger is Tesla’s largest Supercharging site to date, featuring 164 stalls that opened just in time for the Thanksgiving travel period.
In addition to badges, Charging Passport also showcases detailed statistics, including the total number of unique Supercharger locations visited, total charging sessions, total miles added, top charging day, longest trip, and favorite Supercharger stops. This feature offers a comprehensive snapshot of how frequently and how far drivers relied on the Supercharger network throughout the year.
This new annual recap comes just before Tesla’s anticipated Holiday Update, which was teased by the company last week. The Holiday Update for this year is expected to be one of the most significant yet, featuring new festive UI elements, the ability to add or edit navigation routes using voice commands through Grok, a Toybox Photobooth mode utilizing the cabin camera, an enhanced media experience, support for custom vehicle icon wraps, improved dashcam clip analytics, and more. Charging Passport adds a touch of personality just before the rollout of this major software update.
Overall, Charging Passport adds a fun and interactive element to the Tesla ownership experience, allowing users to track their Supercharger usage and compare achievements with friends and other Tesla drivers. This feature enhances the overall user experience and adds a layer of gamification to the Supercharging process. Tesla continues to innovate and enhance its offerings to provide an unparalleled driving experience for its customers.
