For the first time in a while, Tesla has adjusted its vehicle prices, this time targeting the Model S. According to an update to the Design Studio on Friday, the price of both trims of the Model S has been increased by $5,000 in the US.
The Model S Long Range now starts at $89,990, while the Model S Plaid starts at $119,990. This price increase comes amidst global supply chain issues and increased costs of materials, affecting many industries including automotive.
Despite the price increase, Tesla continues to see strong demand for its vehicles, with many customers willing to pay a premium for the latest technology and performance that Tesla offers.
It is important to note that Tesla has made several adjustments to its pricing over the years, sometimes lowering prices to increase demand and at other times raising prices due to various factors such as inflation, currency fluctuations, and production costs.
Customers who had placed orders before the price increase will not be affected and will still pay the original price agreed upon at the time of purchase. However, new customers looking to buy a Model S will have to pay the updated prices.
As Tesla continues to innovate and expand its product lineup, it is expected that prices may fluctuate in the future based on market conditions and other external factors. Despite this, Tesla remains a leader in the electric vehicle market, pushing boundaries and setting new standards for the industry.
