Recently, Tesla rolled out software update 2024.32.30 to its early access users, featuring a range of significant changes. What sets this update apart is the absence of a “Coming Soon” section, indicating that all promised features are now included in this release.
This could potentially mark the conclusion of FSD V12, as FSD V13 is already slated for release in October according to the Tesla FSD Roadmap. But before looking ahead, let’s delve into the details of the latest update received by early access testers.
Notable additions in this version include Vision-Based Attention Monitoring with support for sunglasses, as well as end-to-end highway monitoring. Additionally, improvements have been made to lane change decisions, driver profiles, and speed settings.
Enhanced Lane Change Decisions
Tesla’s FSD has historically faced challenges in making natural lane change decisions, particularly when approaching turns or exits. The latest update aims to address this issue by prompting the vehicle to make decisions earlier in advance, resulting in a smoother driving experience.
Revised Driver Profiles
The update introduces updated Driver Profiles to replace the previous FSD Modes. Chill, Standard, and Hurry profiles offer distinct driving styles, ranging from slower and more conservative to faster and more assertive.
Max Speed Offset Feature
The Autospeed feature has been replaced with Max Speed Offset, allowing users to set a maximum speed limit offset for all FSD profiles. This feature enables drivers to drive below the speed limit by adjusting the offset percentage accordingly.
Release Schedule
The update is currently available to early access testers using Model Y and Model 3 vehicles equipped with HW4. Following successful testing, it is expected to be rolled out to customers next week, starting with HW4 3/Y and Cybertrucks, followed by S/X, and eventually Hardware 3 in the coming weeks.
We are eagerly anticipating the inclusion of HW3 vehicles in the upcoming updates. Stay tuned for more information on when FSD V12.5.6 will be available to a wider customer base. Keep an eye on our feeds for the latest updates.
