Tesla has recently unveiled the exciting features coming with the highly anticipated 2025 Holiday Update. This update is jam-packed with new additions that are not only functional but also add a touch of fun to the Tesla experience.
One of the standout features of this update is the introduction of Grok with Navigation Commands (Beta). Grok will now have the capability to add and edit navigation destinations, making the navigation experience more seamless for Tesla owners. With Grok’s “Assistant” personality, users can expect a more personalized and informative navigation experience, including insights into their destination such as reviews and nearby points of interest.
Another exciting addition is the Tesla Photobooth feature, which allows users to turn their car into a photobooth. This feature enables users to take selfies from inside their Tesla, apply fun filters, stickers, and emojis, and share their creations directly from the Tesla app.
For pet owners, the Dog Mode Live Activity feature provides peace of mind by offering periodic snapshots of the cabin when using Dog Mode. This feature also provides live updates on temperature, battery, and climate conditions, ensuring the comfort and safety of furry passengers.
The Dashcam Viewer Update enhances the functionality of Dashcam clips by including additional details such as speed, steering wheel angle, and Self-Driving state. This added information can be particularly useful in the event of an accident.
Tesla has also introduced Santa Mode with new graphics, trees, and a lock chime, adding a festive touch to the driving experience. Additionally, a new Light Show called Jingle Rush is available for users to enjoy.
The Paint Shop feature in the Toybox, formerly known as Colorizer, now allows users to customize their Tesla Avatar with window tints, custom wraps, and license plates. Owners can choose from preloaded designs or create their own using a USB Flash Drive.
Navigation improvements include a “Favorites” tab for easier destination management, the ability to set Home and Work locations by dropping a pin, and “Suggested Destinations” based on recent trips and habits.
The most significant feature of the Holiday Update is the Supercharger Site Map, which provides a 3D view of select Tesla Superchargers. Users can view site layouts, live occupancy, nearby amenities, and choose which stall to Supercharge from.
Other notable features include Automatic Carpool Lane Routing, Phone Left Behind Chime, Charge Limit Per Location, ISS Docking Simulator game, and various additional improvements like enabling/disabling wireless phone charging pads and enhancing Spotify integration.
While some anticipated features like the Banish functionality and Apple CarPlay integration were not included in this update, Tesla continues to innovate and improve the user experience with each update. With ongoing developments like Parking Spot Selection in future updates, Tesla owners can look forward to even more exciting features to come.
