Tesla continues to showcase the global capabilities of its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised system, with recent demonstrations in London, U.K. displaying the software successfully navigating busy and complex roads. In videos shared by TeslaEurope on X, the EV maker demonstrated FSD Supervised handling a full drive through London and maneuvering through the challenging Swindon Magic Roundabout.
While the software is still awaiting regulatory approval in the country, these demonstrations suggest progress towards that goal. Particularly impressive was the system’s ability to navigate the Swindon Magic Roundabout, a notoriously confusing intersection with five mini roundabouts arranged in a circle.
Despite its growing proficiency on European roads, FSD Supervised is not yet available to the public in the U.K. or elsewhere in Europe. Elon Musk recently reiterated that regulatory approval is still pending in Europe and China, but expressed optimism that it will arrive soon. Additionally, Musk confirmed that advancements powering Tesla’s unsupervised Robotaxi software will soon be integrated into public builds of FSD.
The London demo follows a previous showcase in Madrid, Spain, further highlighting the system’s adaptability on an international scale. Currently, FSD Supervised is only available to customers in the U.S. and Canada through Tesla’s early access program, allowing for hands-free, AI-assisted driving on city streets and highways.
With these ongoing demonstrations across Europe, Tesla is laying the groundwork for a broader international rollout pending regulatory approval. The continued showcases demonstrate Tesla’s commitment to advancing autonomous driving technology and paving the way for safer and more efficient transportation solutions.
