Tesla CEO Elon Musk Issues Stern Warning to Vandals
During an All-Hands meeting last week, Tesla CEO Elon Musk had a strong message for vandals who have been targeting Tesla cars, showrooms, and Superchargers. This meeting, broadcasted on X for the first time, aimed to address skepticism about Musk’s commitment to the company amidst concerns about his focus on other ventures.
Musk showcased Tesla’s roadmap for the coming years, reassuring employees and investors alike. He urged employees to hold onto their stock, emphasizing the company’s future impact and growth potential. Musk highlighted the transformative nature of Tesla’s expanding fleet, which he believes will revolutionize the automotive industry.
However, Musk also took the opportunity to address the escalating vandalism targeting Tesla vehicles and facilities. Instances of gunfire, Molotov cocktails, and petty vandalism like keying have been on the rise, prompting Musk to condemn the behavior as “psycho” and unreasonable.
He stated, “If you don’t want to buy our product, that’s fine, but resorting to violence is completely unacceptable.” Musk expressed disbelief at the extent of the attacks, urging vandals to reconsider their actions and respect others’ property.
In response to the growing threat, Tesla has received support from the federal government, with the FBI establishing a task force to investigate vandalism and violence against the company. President Trump has also labeled attacks on Tesla as potential acts of domestic terrorism, signaling a serious crackdown on perpetrators.
Despite the challenges posed by vandals and critics, Tesla and Musk remain steadfast in their commitment to innovation and growth. The company’s resolve in the face of adversity is a testament to its resilience and determination to shape the future of transportation.
