Tesla’s Third Quarter 2025 Production and Delivery Numbers Exceed Expectations
Tesla has just announced its production and delivery numbers for the third quarter of 2025, and the results are nothing short of impressive. The electric car company reported its best quarter ever, producing a total of 447,450 vehicles and delivering 497,099 units worldwide. These numbers easily surpassed Wall Street’s expectations, which were hovering around 443,000 deliveries.
Breaking down the figures, Tesla produced 435,826 Model 3 and Model Y units during the quarter, along with 11,624 units of “Other Models,” which include the Model S, Model X, Cybertruck, and Tesla Semi. On the delivery side, 481,166 were Model 3/Y vehicles, while 15,933 were Other Models.
In addition to its vehicle production and deliveries, Tesla also made significant strides in its energy storage business during Q3 2025. The company deployed 12.5 GWh of energy storage products, setting a new record for this category. This achievement was driven by the aggressive scaling of Tesla’s energy business, with Megapack production in California and Texas playing a crucial role, along with ongoing efforts on in-house LFP battery cell development at Gigafactory Nevada.
Tesla’s Q3 delivery total not only exceeded its previous all-time record of 495,570 vehicles set in Q4 2024 but also showcased the resilience of demand in its key markets. Strong sales in China and the rush of end-of-quarter deliveries in the U.S. following the expiry of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit on September 30 contributed to the company’s stellar performance.
Investor confidence in Tesla has been on the rise, with Tesla shares surpassing $450 for the first time in 2025 on Wednesday. This surge in stock price was fueled by bullish sentiment ahead of the delivery report, with the stock now inching closer to its all-time high of $488.54.
In a press release, Tesla expressed gratitude to its customers, employees, suppliers, shareholders, and supporters for their contribution to these outstanding results. The company will release its full Q3 2025 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday, October 22, followed by a live Q&A webcast featuring Elon Musk and other executives.
