SpaceX is quietly rolling out a new perk for Starlink customers in the form of a complimentary Starlink Mini dish. This offer seems to be exclusive to U.S.-based customers who subscribe to the Residential Max plan, which now costs $120 per month.
Customers who receive an email invite from SpaceX are eligible to receive the Mini dish for free, as long as they remain on the Residential Max plan. The Mini dish is designed for portable and travel use, allowing customers to enjoy fast and reliable internet on the go. This offer comes as part of Starlink’s recent revamp of its Residential plans, which now include options like Residential 100 Mbps for $50 per month and Residential 200 Mbps for $80 per month.
However, there is a catch. In order to use the Starlink Mini, Residential Max subscribers must also add a Starlink Roam plan to their account. Roam plans start at $5 per month for Standby Mode and go up to $50 for the Roam 100GB plan or $165 for Roam Unlimited. To sweeten the deal, SpaceX is offering a 50% discount on Roam plans as part of the Residential Max bundle.
This offer was initially introduced in October as a loyalty perk for select customers in the U.S. and Canada. Now, it seems to be expanding to a wider group of eligible users, although it remains invite-only. New Residential Max customers will automatically qualify for the Mini dish offer, which should be sent via email shortly after checkout. If a customer downgrades their plan or cancels Roam service, they must return the dish or pay for it.
This latest perk comes as Starlink continues to grow rapidly, ending 2025 with over 9.2 million users worldwide. The company recently received FCC approval to double its next-generation satellite constellation, paving the way for even more capacity and incentives to attract customers to premium tiers.
