Take a Sneak Peek Inside Tesla’s New Hollywood Diner
Located at 7000 Santa Monica Boulevard in Hollywood, Los Angeles, Tesla’s retro diner with a stainless steel exterior is rapidly taking shape. Recent developments include the unveiling of the massive 45-foot LED screens for the outdoor theater, but there is much more happening inside than initially anticipated.
Thanks to exclusive photos shared by Thomas Adamian, who recently visited the site, we now have a first look at the nearly finished Tesla Diner’s interior.
While the diner was expected to have a retro-futuristic theme, combining a diner with Superchargers and a modern open-air theater, the interior design goes beyond mere nostalgia.
Exploring the Interior
Inside, classic circular diner-style seating is seamlessly integrated with modern lighting and fixtures. This blend creates a modernist art-deco ambiance that complements Tesla’s innovative style, rather than simply evoking a bygone era.
Although the facility is still visibly under construction in the photos, they offer the most detailed glimpse yet of what the indoor dining experience will entail.
Front Entrance and Diner Logo
The circular entrance is striking, with a futuristic design. While we hope the doors slide into the walls like pocket doors, they likely open conventionally in or out. Inside the entrance hangs the Tesla Diner sign, featuring an art-deco aesthetic. A sign on the door indicates that the diner will operate 24/7.
Windows and Artwork
The windows and shutters perfectly capture the diner’s vibe. In the background, concept art for the Cybertruck is visible. It is hoped that artwork for other Tesla vehicles will also be incorporated to provide diners with a glimpse into the company’s story.
Outdoor Seating
An outdoor seating area is in the early stages of development, with unassembled pallets hinting at the arrival of outdoor furniture for customers to enjoy their meals al fresco.
The Tesla Diner in Hollywood promises to offer more than just a dining experience with chargers. With in-app functionality through the Tesla app, space for 200 diners indoors, and the option for a drive-in theater experience with in-car service, the diner is set to become a landmark in the area. Plans also include rooftop seating, suggesting further exciting developments to come.
Initially announced at Tesla’s Investor Day in 2023, the Tesla Diner is set to refresh the company’s image and offer a unique and memorable dining destination. As construction progresses, the hope is that the food matches the creativity of the design, setting a standard for future Tesla Diners worldwide.
With its innovative concept and prime location, the Diner is destined to become an iconic LA establishment, attracting both locals and tourists alike.
