Shaquille O’Neal, the basketball legend turned entertainment mogul, has added another custom car to his impressive collection. This time, it’s a unique makeover of a Lucid Air, transformed into a two-door coupe with larger doors to accommodate his towering 7’1’’ frame. The customization was done by West Coast Customs, known for their work on the popular show “Pimp My Ride,” and involved extensive structural modifications to create a one-of-a-kind vehicle.
While Shaq didn’t reveal much about his new car, it’s clear that it has been personalized to match his Rolls-Royce Cullinan, also customized by West Coast Customs. The coupe features large, multi-spoke wheels with self-centering caps adorned with the Superman logo, as well as a front badge that reads “Diesel,” a nod to Shaq’s stage name as a dubstep DJ.
The unique transformation of the Lucid Air isn’t the only custom electric vehicle in Shaq’s garage. He also owns two Tesla Cybertrucks with custom carbon fiber widebody kits and massive 26-inch Forgiato wheels. While the Cybertrucks received a less radical makeover compared to the Lucid Air, they still stand out on the road with their distinct appearance.
Elon Musk even complimented one of Shaq’s Cybertrucks, calling it “nice” on social media. However, it’s unlikely that Lucid CEO Peter Rawlinson will comment on Shaq’s two-door Air, as the company has no plans to produce a coupe version of the luxury electric sedan. With the automotive market shifting towards SUVs, Lucid recently launched its three-row SUV, the Gravity, catering to the growing demand for high-riding vehicles.
Despite the lack of plans for a production coupe, Shaq’s custom Lucid Air is a testament to his unique style and love for personalized vehicles. Whether cruising in his one-of-a-kind coupe or his eye-catching Cybertrucks, Shaq continues to make a statement on the road with his custom electric rides.
