Tesla is offering Canadian buyers a compelling incentive to purchase a new Model 3 this month. If customers take delivery of a new Model 3 by September 30, 2025, they now have the option to choose between a $5,000 CAD discount off the purchase price or unlimited free Supercharging for life.
This new offer builds upon Tesla’s previous promotion from last month, where buyers of Model 3 inventory received free lifetime Supercharging if they took delivery by September 30. Now, the company is providing more flexibility by allowing buyers to select between that benefit or an immediate $5,000 off the price of the car.
It’s important to note that this deal only applies to Model 3 vehicles in Tesla’s Canadian inventory and not custom factory orders. Orders will automatically default to the $5,000 discount at checkout. Customers who prefer free lifetime Supercharging will need to contact Tesla after placing their order to make the switch.
The timing of this promotion is significant, especially considering the steep tariffs that Canada imposed on Chinese- and U.S.-imported EVs last year. While Tesla found a solution for the Model Y by exporting Canadian-market units from its Gigafactory in Berlin, the Model 3 remains more expensive than before. The $5,000 discount aims to help alleviate the upfront cost for buyers, particularly when combined with provincial EV rebates.
In addition, the free Supercharging option could provide added value for long-distance commuters, road-trippers, or those without access to home charging. Buyers who order through a referral link will also receive three months of Full Self-Driving (FSD) for free.
With Tesla focusing on a strong end-of-quarter push, this promotion aligns with the September 30 expiration of the $7,500 USD EV tax credit in the U.S., which is already driving demand. In Canada, the $5,000 Model 3 discount could help Tesla boost sales as it closes what could be a successful quarter for the company.
