Rolls-Royce Introduces the Spectre Black Badge
In recent years, Rolls-Royce has been on a mission to revamp its image by introducing a series of Black Badge models. These models are designed to appeal to a younger, more dynamic audience with a darker color palette and a sportier vibe. The latest addition to this lineup is the first electric Rolls-Royce—the Spectre coupe, now receiving the Black Badge treatment.
According to Rolls-Royce, the Spectre Black Badge is the most powerful production car the brand has ever offered, whether gasoline or electric. With a retuned dual-motor powertrain, the Spectre Black Badge boasts an impressive 659 hp and 792 lb-ft of torque, marking a significant increase over the standard Spectre model.
To unleash the full power of the Spectre Black Badge, drivers can activate the Infinity Mode, which enhances accelerator response. Additionally, a Spirited Mode launch feature enables the Spectre Black Badge to accelerate from 0-60 mph in just 4.1 seconds.

The Spirited Mode, activated by a specific pedal sequence, mirrors launch modes found in other high-performance EVs. Despite its sporty features, Rolls-Royce assures that the decision to include such functionalities was based on feedback from current Spectre owners who expressed a desire for quick bursts of power.
Further enhancements to the Spectre Black Badge include revised steering for a more substantial feel and suspension tweaks aimed at improving body control and minimizing squat during acceleration. While these updates promise a dynamic driving experience, their impact on the EPA range of 291 miles remains to be seen.
On the exterior, the Black Badge treatment introduces darkened chrome accents and 23-inch wheels, complemented by a striking Vapour Violet paint option. Customers can choose from a wide range of paint colors, including multiple options for the illuminated grille.
Inside the Spectre Black Badge, a lavish interior showcases 5,500 individual lighting elements across the dashboard and door panels, creating a celestial effect against a piano black background. The cabin also features Technical Fibre—a blend of carbon fiber and metal woven over a wood base.
While opulence is a hallmark of Rolls-Royce vehicles, the Spectre Black Badge sets a new standard for luxury electric cars. With plans for additional electric models in the pipeline, including an SUV and sedan, Rolls-Royce is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.
