iKamper, a renowned tent and camping gear manufacturer, has introduced a special edition of its Skycap 3.0 Mini rooftop tent tailored for Rivian vehicles. The tent features mounting hardware customized for Rivian trucks, an aerodynamic shell to minimize drag, and a color palette inspired by Rivian’s design language.

The exclusive rooftop tent can be pre-ordered for $4,595 and early customers will also receive iKamper’s Disco Series Stove for outdoor cooking. Rivian offers a convenient Travel Kitchen option for preparing breakfast during camping trips, featuring a two-burner induction stovetop that fits on the R1T’s open tailgate. Additionally, the Camp Kitchen showcased at the R1T’s launch adds a touch of innovation, even though it hasn’t been put into production.

Rivian’s Adventure Network charging infrastructure is being upgraded to accommodate more powerful DC fast-chargers and well-equipped sites accessible to all electric vehicles. The company also offers Level 2 AC chargers known as Waypoints, some of which provide a luxurious camping experience with Under Canvas, a premium camping provider at popular recreational destinations.
Exciting options for off-grid travel are on the horizon, such as the Airstream Basecamp 20Xe electric travel trailer equipped with a 10.3-kWh battery pack and 3,000-watt inverter to power appliances and electronics, catering to those who seek a connected camping experience.
