Giga Texas begins production of non-Launch Series Model Y
Tesla has officially started production of the regular version of its new Model Y in the United States. Until now only the premium Launch Series has been built and sold from Tesla’s Fremont factory.
The news comes as a relief to many Tesla fans who have been eagerly awaiting the standard version of the Model Y. The Launch Series, while impressive, comes with a higher price tag that puts it out of reach for some potential buyers.
With production now underway at Giga Texas, Tesla is poised to meet the demand for the more affordable Model Y. The factory, located in Austin, Texas, is known for its advanced manufacturing capabilities and is expected to ramp up production quickly.
CEO Elon Musk has been vocal about his plans to expand production at Giga Texas, with the goal of making it one of Tesla’s largest and most efficient factories. The Model Y is a key part of Tesla’s lineup, as it is a popular choice among consumers looking for a versatile and efficient electric vehicle.
With the launch of the non-Launch Series Model Y, Tesla is once again demonstrating its commitment to making electric vehicles more accessible to a wider audience. The company has a track record of innovation and success in the electric vehicle market, and the Model Y is expected to be no exception.
