The Next Generation of Polestar Electric Vehicles
Exciting news from Polestar as they confirm the upcoming release of their latest electric vehicle, the Polestar 7. This compact SUV will be manufactured in Europe and signifies a shift towards a single common architecture for future Polestar vehicles. The brand is moving towards more bespoke engineering and unique exterior designs, setting them apart from other brands under the Geely corporate umbrella.
“Polestar is known for its progressive design, with each car standing out and creating its own buzz—so too will Polestar 7,” said design boss Philipp Römers.
Upcoming Models
Polestar is also gearing up for the release of the Polestar 5 in the second half of this year. This four-door fastback boasts an 800-volt architecture for faster charging and impressive battery cells for extended range.
In addition, the Polestar 6 roadster has been confirmed for production in 2026, following the success of the Concept BST which teased a sportier version of the convertible sports car.
Future Growth and Sales Targets
Polestar has ambitious plans to expand its model lineup and increase global sales volume by 30%-35% between 2025 and 2027. This growth will be supported by a 75% increase in retail spaces while maintaining their hybrid model of direct sales and traditional dealership servicing. The brand has already seen a 5.3% increase in global sales and a 37.2% increase in new orders in the fourth quarter of 2024.
