Kia Unveils Off-Road Concept EV9 SUV at 2024 SEMA Show
Kia on Tuesday revealed the off-road concept version of its EV9 electric SUV at the 2024 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The Kia EV9 ADVNTR features a 3-inch suspension lift, new wheels and tires, light bars, and a roof rack, catering to the off-road enthusiasts. While Kia has not confirmed any production plans, the concept serves as inspiration for the aftermarket industry.

The EV9 ADVNTR likely retains the optional dual-motor setup generating 379 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque, sacrificing some range for its off-road capabilities. The EV9, based on the E-GMP platform shared with Hyundai and Genesis, was named Green Car Reports Best Car To Buy 2024.

In its second model year, the 2025 Kia EV9 sees a minor price increase for the Light Long Range model, equipped with a 99.8-kwh battery pack offering 304 miles of range. The 2025 models are undergoing a recall for a software issue affecting the digital gauge cluster.
Additionally, Kia introduced the PV5 WKNDR electric van concept at the 2024 SEMA show, designed for weekend adventures. The PV5 is part of Kia’s Platform Beyond Vehicles (PBVs) lineup, set to enter production in 2025 for commercial use.
