Afeela 1
The Afeela 1 showcased at CES 2025 closely resembles the prototype from 2024, with additions like front corner cameras on the roof. These cameras are part of a sensor array aimed at enabling Level 3 automation, allowing for hands-off driving in specific scenarios. Initially, Afeela will offer Level 2 automation with driver-monitoring systems.
Measuring 193.5 inches in length, the Afeela 1 is slightly shorter than a Honda Accord but boasts a longer wheelbase. The interior features expansive screens and a unique yoke-style steering wheel for enhanced visibility. Afeela emphasizes sustainability, with 70% of the interior crafted from plant-based or recycled materials.
Equipped with Sony’s 360 Spatial Sound Technologies, the Afeela 1 offers immersive audio experiences. The car’s multiple screens aim to transform it into a mobile entertainment hub, supporting video streaming and app usage. Afeela is collaborating with third parties to develop apps, including PlayStation games that can be played on the dashboard screen.
