Tesla has officially begun rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) version 14.1 with software update 2025.32.8.5 to early access testers and some customers. This update is considered the biggest leap forward for Tesla’s FSD since version 12, and early testers are raving about the improvements.
One of the key features introduced in Full Self-Driving (Supervised) 14.1 is Arrival Options, which allows drivers to choose where the car should park – whether it be in a parking lot, driveway, garage, curbside, or on the street. For the first time, Tesla vehicles can autonomously find and park themselves once they reach their destination, eliminating the need for the driver to take over.
Testers have reported significant enhancements in usability and responsiveness with FSD 14.1. The software now starts much faster and even remembers the driver’s preferences for Arrival Options and preferred parking positions for each destination. Additionally, the car’s visualization now glows blue when FSD is engaged, providing a clear indication of active self-driving.
In addition to the new parking features, FSD 14.1 also includes improved handling for emergency vehicles, enhanced detour navigation through Tesla’s vision-based neural network, and a new Speed Profile called “Sloth” for more cautious driving. The update further refines performance in complex scenarios such as unprotected turns, lane changes, and navigating around road debris.
Early testing videos showcase FSD 14.1 autonomously parking in open Supercharger spots and accurately parking at the specified location pinned on the navigation map. The update has also been received positively by testers in Canada, with smoother maneuvers and more confident decision-making compared to previous versions.
Elon Musk has teased that version 14.2 of Full Self-Driving will make your Tesla “feel almost like it is sentient.” While FSD 14.1 is currently being rolled out, Musk has confirmed that Tesla plans to release FSD 14.2 in the coming weeks, with version 14.3 to follow shortly after.
