xAI Partners with Oracle Cloud to Deliver Grok 3 AI Model
xAI’s Grok 3 has recently joined forces with Oracle Cloud to bring its advanced AI model to corporate customers. This collaboration was announced by Oracle earlier this week, showcasing the integration of xAI’s Grok 3 with Oracle’s powerful infrastructure to offer a transformative tool for business applications.
Clay Magouyrk, Executive Vice President at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, stated via LinkedIn, “Today, we announced xAI has selected Oracle to offer xAI’s Grok models via OCI Generative AI service for a wide range of use cases and will use OCI’s leading AI infrastructure to train and run inferencing for its next-generation Grok models.” This partnership will leverage Oracle’s cost-effective AI capabilities to support xAI’s demanding workloads, enabling faster processing for enterprise users.
According to Oracle’s Karan Batta, as reported by Reuters, “Our goal here is to make sure that we can provide a portfolio of models – we don’t have our own.” Grok 3 will be hosted alongside models from Meta, Mistral, and Cohere, ensuring corporate data security within Oracle’s existing protections.
Elon Musk’s xAI launched Grok 3 in February, offering a competitive model in the AI space. Grok 3 is free for all X users, with advanced features available to Premium and Premium+ subscribers. This collaboration with Oracle expands Grok’s reach to businesses seeking secure and high-performance AI solutions for various use cases.
Elon Musk’s relationship with Oracle dates back to 2018 when Tesla appointed Oracle founder Larry Ellison to its board. This move was hailed as a “home run appointment” by analysts. In 2023, Ellison, still close with Musk, unveiled plans for a Tesla Cybertruck police car at the Oracle CloudWorld conference in Las Vegas.
The integration of Grok 3 into Oracle Cloud strengthens xAI’s position in the corporate AI market. By combining Oracle’s infrastructure with Grok’s advanced capabilities, this collaboration has the potential to drive innovation and redefine enterprise AI adoption across industries.
