Exclusive Preview of Tesla’s Innovative 3D Supercharger Maps
Have you ever experienced the frustration of arriving at a destination only to struggle to locate the tucked-away Superchargers in a parking garage or shopping center?
Well, Tesla has come to the rescue with their latest 2025 Holiday Update, introducing visually stunning Supercharger Site Maps in high-fidelity 3D. This new feature not only displays charging locations but also provides real-time information on disabled stalls, occupancy status, directional facing, towing stalls, and more.
Currently being tested at 18 selected Supercharger sites in California and Texas, Tesla’s 3D Supercharger Maps leverage the company’s vertical integration to guide drivers precisely to available charging stalls before they even arrive.

The update includes a new “View Site Map” button in the navigation menu for eligible chargers, providing users with a top-down 3D view of the parking lot upon tapping or arrival. This detailed view showcases the layout of charging stalls, helping drivers easily identify available spots without the need for a search.
In addition to stall availability, the Site Map highlights nearby amenities such as coffee shops, restrooms, and retail stores, enhancing the overall charging experience.
Seamless Vertical Integration
Tesla’s Director of Charging, Max de Zegher, emphasized the significance of this feature as a testament to Tesla’s unique advantage of vertical integration. By owning the software stack, charging network, and data sources, Tesla can deliver precise 3D Site Maps tailored to each location, revolutionizing the Supercharging experience.
Unlike third-party networks or traditional manufacturers reliant on fragmented data, Tesla’s integrated approach ensures unparalleled accuracy and efficiency in mapping Supercharger sites.
Initial Trial Locations
The 3D Supercharger Maps are currently operational at 18 key locations, predominantly in California, with a single site in Texas. While limited to AMD Ryzen vehicles for now, Tesla plans to expand this feature to all Supercharger sites in the future, making navigation effortless for all users.
