Elon Musk has recently confirmed some exciting new features that will be available at the Tesla Diner Supercharger in Los Angeles. These new details were revealed after Musk shared that he had recently dined at the Supercharger Diner. A soft launch of the menu has already taken place, and a public launch date is on the horizon.
The new features were disclosed by Tesla Joy on X, and Musk has confirmed that these features will indeed be part of the Diner experience for Tesla owners. While the Diner is open to everyone, these two specific features will require a Tesla for compatibility reasons.
One of the new features allows Tesla owners to order food directly from their vehicles as they pull into the Supercharger Diner. The menu includes a variety of options such as burgers, wings, fries, shakes, cookies, and more. A prompt will pop up on the screen, allowing customers to place their order with an employee who will then bring the food out, maintaining a classic 50s diner theme.
In addition to the food ordering feature, the Supercharger Diner will also have two large movie screens playing entertainment options. During recent drone flyovers of the location on Santa Monica Boulevard, clips of movies and SpaceX launch highlights were spotted on the screens. Instead of having to roll down their windows to hear the audio from the screens, Tesla owners will have the audio synced to their car stereo speakers for a seamless viewing experience.
The Supercharger Diner has also made its debut on the Tesla app, showing a total of 80 stalls at the location. While the stalls are not yet active, all signs point to an imminent grand opening. Tesla has not officially announced an opening date for the Supercharger Diner, and Los Angeles building permits do not specify a target date either. However, with all the details that have been revealed recently, it seems likely that Tesla will announce the opening date soon, potentially around the time of their earnings report on July 23rd. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to the Tesla experience.
