Chrysler Announces Electric Pacifica Minivan
- The Chrysler Pacifica lineup will gain an electric variant
- Electric Chrysler Pacifica interior will feature flexible interior packaging
- Pacifica will be refreshed in 2026 with the electric variant to follow
Chrysler’s journey towards an electric minivan has reached a milestone as the company confirms the name of the upcoming vehicle.
During the 2024 LA Auto Show, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell revealed to Green Car Reports that the electric Chrysler minivan will be named Pacifica.
“There’s so much equity in the market, consumers have a favorable opinion about Pacifica and very high awareness. I see no reason at this point to change the name,” Feuell stated.
In 2022, Feuell hinted at the automaker’s plans to rethink the minivan for the electric era, a vision that is rapidly becoming a reality.

Feuell confirmed that the Pacifica will undergo a refresh in 2026, setting the stage for the electric Pacifica’s debut likely in the following year.
Contrary to using the design of the Airflow electric SUV concept, Feuell mentioned that Chrysler’s design direction will draw inspiration from the Halcyon concept showcased in February, embodying a “modern” and “futuristic” aesthetic.
Details regarding the coexistence of the Pacifica Hybrid and the electric Pacifica, as well as the potential inclusion of a range extender, remain undisclosed by Feuell.

Electric Chrysler Pacifica to Feature Flexible Seating
Feuell highlighted the innovative approach Chrysler is taking with the electric Pacifica’s interior, particularly with the patented Stow ‘N Go seating system. One proposed idea involves reconfiguring the front and second-row seats to maximize cargo space without the need to remove seats entirely.
While the final interior configuration is still in development, Feuell emphasized the focus on versatile use cases such as lounging, camping, and cargo management, all while ensuring ease of access and functionality.
As the electric minivan segment evolves, Chrysler’s commitment to reimagining interior design and functionality reflects the brand’s forward-thinking approach to electric mobility.
