The Technical Program Manager, Battery Manufacturing role based in Fremont is crucial for the design and engineering of the Roadster’s battery pack and production processes. This position involves collaborating across various teams to align with company priorities and accelerate battery manufacturing execution.
The Manufacturing Engineer, Roadster position, also based in Fremont, is responsible for developing and launching battery manufacturing equipment for new products and architectures. This role involves taking manufacturing systems from concept development to equipment launch and optimization.
In Palo Alto, the Manufacturing Vision Engineer, Battery Vision position focuses on designing and scaling advanced inspection and control systems for next-generation battery products. This role involves developing and deploying 2D and 3D vision and measurement systems for high-volume battery manufacturing lines.
Tesla has set April 1 as the date for the Roadster unveiling, with production expected to begin 12 to 18 months after the event. Elon Musk has expressed excitement about the Roadster unveiling, stating that it has the potential to be the most memorable product unveil ever. With production potentially starting in 2027, the Roadster is poised to revolutionize the supercar industry.
