Zeekr, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer, is set to introduce its second electric shooting brake model to the European market in the second quarter of 2025. Known as the Zeekr 7GT in Europe, this sleek and stylish model is sure to capture the attention of wagon enthusiasts in the region. While pricing details have not yet been announced, it is expected to be higher than its $30,000 price tag in China.
The Zeekr 7GT features a captivating design with a sporty and aerodynamic appearance. The front end of the vehicle closely resembles the Zeekr 007 sedan, but the longer roof and slanted rear glass distinguish it as a shooting brake model. The vehicle is equipped with real carbon fiber trim for added visual appeal, giving it a touch of luxury.
One of the standout features of the Zeekr 7GT is its impressive range and charging performance. Built on the Geely Sustainable Electric Architecture (SEA) platform, this 800-volt EV is powered by the innovative Golden Battery, which offers a peak DC fast charging speed of 500 kilowatts. This allows the vehicle to add 311 miles of range in just 15 minutes, making it one of the fastest-charging batteries in the world.
The Golden Battery is the first 800-volt battery to utilize lithium iron phosphate (LFP) chemistry, boasting a higher volume utilization rate compared to other batteries on the market. The Zeekr 7GT is available with two battery options in China – 75.6 kWh and 100 kWh, with the latter providing up to 540 miles of range on the Chinese test cycle.
In terms of performance, the Zeekr 7GT offers two powertrain options – a single-motor rear-wheel-drive configuration with 416 horsepower or a dual-motor setup with 637 horsepower. The wagon is expected to have similar power outputs to the sedan model. With its cutting-edge technology and stylish design, the Zeekr 7GT is poised to compete with European rivals such as the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer and the Audi A6 E-Tron Avant.
The larger Zeekr 001, the company’s first shooting brake model, is already available in Europe with a starting price of €59,900. The Zeekr 7GT is expected to be priced higher due to tariffs and other factors when it arrives in Europe. Overall, Zeekr’s expansion into the European market signals the brand’s commitment to providing high-quality electric vehicles with advanced technology and impressive performance.
