- Upgraded to an 84-kwh battery pack for increased range
- Expected range of over 250 miles with fast charging capability
- Enhanced cabin design and driving dynamics
Genesis recently unveiled the updated Electrified GV70 crossover, featuring a larger battery, a Tesla NACS charge port, and a refreshed front-end design. This refresh is part of the overall update to the GV70 lineup, Genesis’ best-selling model.
The new Electrified GV70 boasts a larger battery pack, providing improved range. While exact numbers have not been disclosed, the previous model achieved an EPA-rated 236 miles. With the increase from 77.4 kwh to 84 kwh, the range is expected to surpass 250 miles.
With the adoption of a Tesla NACS port, the 2026 GV70 Electrified will have native support for Tesla Supercharger stations, expanding the DC fast-charging network available to Genesis EV drivers. Charging times are also expected to improve.
The exterior design features updated headlights and grille, giving the vehicle a fresh look. The cabin follows a “Beauty of White Space” design principle, with a new dash design centered around a 27-inch OLED screen and ambient lighting throughout.
Performance-wise, the dual-motor propulsion system delivers impressive power, with dynamic improvements for better control during acceleration and deceleration. The addition of a Terrain Mode enhances the vehicle’s versatility for different driving conditions.
Additional features include hands-on detection for the steering wheel, improved lane assist, and updated parking assist for diagonal parking. The 2026 Electrified GV70 models are set to launch in the first half of 2025.
